SoberTrail

Sobriety journal template

Sometimes a day count leaves out the part you want to remember. Use these three prompts to put a little context beside your day.

No account needed. Your writing is not sent to us or saved by this page. Refreshing or closing it clears your answers.

A few words about your day

You can answer one prompt, all three, or print a blank page and write by hand. There is no score to work toward.

A moment, a choice, or something that made the day feel different.

Name the situation. You can keep it simple and specific.

One small plan is enough. You can also leave this open.

Personal reflection from SoberTrail’s journal template. This does not record an alcohol-free day.

Your writing stays on this page until you leave or refresh. Print or download a copy if you want to keep it.

It shares the tool, not the answers you entered.

Keep the entry as small as you need

Choose the date, answer whichever prompts are useful, and leave the rest empty. One sentence can be enough. For paper, select Print journal before writing to get a blank template.

Download text creates a plain text file on your device. Printing opens your browser’s print dialog; it may offer Save as PDF. Those copies are yours to manage, including where you store or share them. This page does not keep a backup.

If you are unsure where to start, our sobriety journal prompts guide includes an example and questions for different kinds of days.

What the app adds

SoberTrail lets you attach an optional private note and reflection to a recorded day on iPhone. That keeps the context beside your saved calendar entry. A note does not change whether a day counts as alcohol-free, and this browser template does not create or import an app entry.

About your journal entry

Do I need to answer every question?

No. Pick one that helps you remember something specific. You can also print the blank page and use your own question.

Is this a saved journal?

No. It is a temporary writing space. Print or download a copy before you refresh, navigate away, or close the page.

Does the page send my notes anywhere?

The tool does not upload your writing or put it in a link. A downloaded file or printout is a separate copy under your control. Browser extensions, your device, and wherever you keep that copy have their own privacy considerations.

Does an entry count as an alcohol-free day?

No. This is personal reflection, separate from recording a day. It does not assess your progress or provide coaching or medical advice.
